Mount Athletes Compete @ All Ohio

The College of Mount St Joseph Track and Field Team had two athletes(Randall Mitchell & Lauren Hastings) qualify for All-Ohio Indoor Championship. Randall Mitchell had a stellar throw in the Shot Put with a distance of 52-02. He broke his own indoor school shot put record by over 2 feet. That mark gave him a first place finish in the All-Ohio Indoor Championship. That mark of 52-02 also provisionally qualifies Mitchell for Indoor Nationals in D-III where he is currently ranked 5Th. Mitchell also had a very good performance in the weight throw placing 11Th. Lauren Hastings had a very strong performance in the long jump at The All-Ohio Indoor Championships with a 5Th place finish. Hastings set a season best mark 16-10.75. That mark also broke the schools Indoor Long jump record. Hastings also competed in the triple jump with a strong 12Th place performance. Look for more great performance's in the future out of this freshman jumper. As always remember to "Mount Up".
